Florida Mold Bill Requirements for Mold Assessor and Remediator go into effect July 1, 2011 with a grandfathering application deadline of March 1, 2011. The bill requires passing of a Proctored Exam, like the Certified Mold Inspector/Consultant, Indoor Environmentalist/Consultant, Mold Remediator and Mold Remediator Supervisor designations listed at www.acac.org or 3-years experience evidenced by inclusion into the State of Florida application of 40 invoices from the past three years of assessments or remediation projects.

 

Environmental & Analytical Management will be providing a review course (which is registered with ACAC) of the required books, guidelines and policies for all of the designations listed above in a classroom format. The dates are from January 31 – February 3, 2011. The course location will be the conference room at Building A on the 2nd floor at 2701 Vista Parkway, West Palm Beach, Florida 33411. The course will review the required reading materials listed for the American Council of Accredited Certifications (ACAC) certifications CMI, CMC, CIE, CIEC, CMR and CMRS. The exam questions are taken from these specific references. The lists are available at their website, www.acac.org. You are responsible for obtaining and reading the required materials of your desired certification. The costs for the program, regardless of certification type, is $449/person if you register by December 30, 2010. After December 30, 2010, the costs for the review course will be $549/person. The minimum hours to cover the material can be derived from the topics matrix above. All persons are invited to attend the full 40 hours of review to receive additional CEU’s.

The course will use power point slides, videos and handouts as well as conducting simulated assessment

and remediation projects. The course will provide additional information, resources, assessment,

protocol and clearance report templates, inspection and remediation checklists, proposal and contract

templates, etc. which will provide the assessment or remediation professional the complete resources

necessary to manage and market assessment and remediation projects. The instructor of the course
